Grand Canyon 1000 anyone?
 Welcome to the Grand Canyon Ball Run - Arizona's Ultimate Road Trip November 7-8, 2009! Welcome to the 1st Annual Grand Canyon 1000! The Grand Canyon 1000 is a 2 day automobile race open to everyone! Come join us for an adventure where you'll explore and discover all that Arizona has to offer. This exciting road-trip is open to the whole family and includes most national and state parks, scenic roads and historic towns of our great state! Event Highlights ♦ Event open to all abilities and all street-legal vehicles (motorcycles included) ♦ Great family fun and road trip ♦ Learn about Arizona, our history and nature ♦ Visit new places - perfect introduction for new Arizonans ♦ 1000 Mile scenic course: race across several National Parks, scenic byways, historic towns and cities and other Arizona attractions! Major Attractions: Grand Canyon NP, Lake Powell and Glenn Canyon NRA, Mogollon Rim, Wupatki NM, Sunset Crater NM, Navajo Reservation, Roosevelt Lake, Route 66, Winslow, Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome, Florence, Superior etc... Rules • There is only one rule: Get a ticket and get disqualified! To Enter Requirements: ♦ Minimum two drivers/car (one rider/motorcycle) ♦ Minimum two valid drivers' licenses ♦ Valid state required insurance ♦ Street legal vehicle in safe operating order (any year, make or model) Course The course starts and finishes in Tucson, AZ and it includes 7 mandatory checkpoints and a mandatory overnight stop. A route book, maps and further details will be provided at the mandatory pre-race dinner. Thinking of doing it in my car since I've missed the last 2 track events. I need a victim to ride along with me though. Any takers?

I did North Rim and back again in one day from Tucson a few months ago. Yes it can be done. No, no relief driver. 8 hours up and 8 hours back. When is it?

LOL but jason can post the aka rally? since when did everything posted here have to do with NASA AZ?
This event is geared toward family fun, not racing...that's why they have the rule of "get a ticket, get dq'd". Looks like a good time to me.

I am planning on doing this, co-driving with Dan Marino. Ace is letting me borrow the Buick, but I have to get the windshield replaced first as per the CCRs.
