Yeah I understand there's no telling exactly what's going on until it's pulled apart. I'm perfectly happy with the ratios and the cusco LSD though. I just want to fix whatever is causing it to pop out of 2nd. It also grinds slightly from the 2nd-3rd transition.

Popping out of 2nd is likely broken syncro spring. Slight gring going into 3rd is likely the 3-4 syncro sleeve. Usually, the 1-2 and 3-4 syncro sleeves just wear out and need to be replaced. When that happens, it's best to just replace everything related to those gears (syncro hub/sleeve/rings/springs).

OEM prices for 2nd gear syncro stuff can be expensive. However, it is worth it because you get a brand new countershaft gear as well. 3rd gear syncro stuff isn't too bad.

240 stock hp x 15% drivetrain loss = approx 204 whp

14.7:1 p/w r
my car is actually TA-A..barely I believe iwth my silencer in and barely in B with it out...... I'd radter run in B with less people

actually... @ 3000 lbs I would still be in TA-A with my engine output of 210 whp

FWIW, that S2000 was totally stock except for shocks and Kumho tires. It's an SCCA Solo stock class S2000. And considering the driver is like 6'4" and isn't all lanky like Simon, he's probably more than 170bs.
