We failed morning sound in the test session. My guys went to a close by Midas Muffler shop and bought a cheap muffler ($89) and the very nice man at Midas welded an elbow on the muffler. ($20). Pointed exhaust away from meters but with this set-up it didn't matter. Took about 70 minutes from when the guys left the track to having it installed on the car. Didnt miss a session on track and passed with no problem. Maybe a little (3%) loss of power but we qualified and raced and enjoyed a great day at AMP. Don't buy a straight through muffler, exhaust needs to change direction to be effective. But it can be done for minimal cost.

There's always a way. A box with some soft material around it to absorb some of the energy might go a long ways. Small(er) opening.

FWIW, my E36 M3 with headers, resonator, and straight-thru muffler passed using a 90-degree elbow screwed to the muffler outlet and pointed away from the meter. Surprised me actually because it is so loud in the cabin.

My miata used to be just a single resonator and straight piped. Could clearly hear it in the paddock at chuckwalla if you were standing there and the car was at the back straight after/before the bowl. Put a cheap muffler I got off eBay that has a S shaped turn in it. Welded it onto the same system with a turndown and it passes AMP.

Doesn't take much money to make cars quiet. Will take some ingenuity on some cars though

Our shop car which is a 2014 Camaro ZL1 passed without any modifications, you should be good to go.

What dB did it blow when you have tried in the past?
Ravi is just a secret AMP hater :P
