Secret Sauce to easily pass AMP sound testing?

A friend of mine that is primarily an autocrosser has a C7 Z06 and was able to get his car to pass the sound restrictions at AMP. If a 6.2L supercharged V8 making 650HP and 650ft/lbs of torque can pass sound I don't see why every car can't do the same thing. I suspect cars like Jim Cozzolinos NSX or even Tony's Evo could pass with this insert (email quote below) added that can easily be added/removed.

I also saw a new Camaro (w/455HP) that passed the sound test with the only modification being 90 degree elbows added to the tips to point the sound to the passenger/right side and away from the meter.

Jeremy Renshaw, Terry Denton and several others have gotten their BMWs to pass sound too and it would be cool if they could share what they did to increase the success rate of not just street cars but all competition cars so everyone can play at this wonderful track that is right here in town!

Subject: AMP secret sauce for Corvette
To: Tage Evanson <>

Redline did the manufacturing that I specified so that it would fit directly in the tailpipe of the Z06. The guts (the important part) is this:
Got about 7 dB using the 3 disk CC insert with packing.
Good luck.

Oh this is fantastic news! Do you have a picture that I can share with my general membership? Will Redline Performance Manuf. be selling this baffle as an off the shelf part?

We have TT & Race points events at AMP next year and I would love to be able to prescribe solutions for nearly all cars which with this sounds like it will be close to possible to do so.

I did design an easily installed and removed baffle that fits in the tailpipe of my C7 Z06. I think 5 Z06ís have successfully passed AMP sound limits. Doesnít seem to affect the power much. I gave the plans to Jonny at Redline Performance Manufacturing. He has the secret sauce and may be able to adapt it to other cars.
Let me know if you need anything else.
